Now I’m not an expert by any means but I was willing to give this Electric Fireplace idea a shot if it meant saving thousands of dollars in hiring a professional to get the job done. My spouse and I wanted to build a Fireplace Surround with a built in wall unit where the Fireplace insert would go. I also wanted to have room to mount a 60” TV in the future above the Fireplace mantel. I tried to keep the total budget under $1000 which was feasible seeing how I had a lot of the tools required.
